The
Concept:
I have a passion for adventure and entered the Dualsport industry
a few years ago with a quest to find all the exciting routes
in and around Southern Africa. I spent weeks on the internet
in search of Adventure riding routes, and didn't find much
at all.
So, I formed Dualsport Africa to cover it
Myself.
The DualsportAfrica website currently has close to 600 signed
up members and a regular reader database of around 6000 per
month. The website has experienced over 3.5 million hits since
its inception in December 2009
Craig Marshall - Founder
The website's function is purely to research, map and promote
adventurous and safe Motorcycle Routes around Southern
Africa, whilst providing the industry with all the
pertinent route info, GPS way points, GPS Downloads, Accommodation,
Places of interest and an indication of the grade of the trail.
"Is it suitable for me"??
"Is it suitable with a Pillion Rider"??
"Is my bike too heavy, will there be soft sand, and where"??
"Where do I have Cell Phone Signal"??
Get the idea?
I was pleasantly surprised to be invited by Robert Wick to
contribute to his latest international Adventure Motorcycle
Routes book - called "The World's Great Adventure Motorcycle
Route" I have submitted two of South Africa's most popular
routes amongst the adventure communities. The Cederberg via
Wupperthal, and the famous Garden Route and Baviaanskloof.
Spread over 12 pages with full colour photographs and map
details - we hope to attract many more international riders
to our shores in search of the ultimate ride.
The book will be available in South africa early in the 2012
new year.
